BeachFit LLC ("BeachFit," "we," "us," or "our") operates beachfit.live. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what choices you have. We keep it plain and honest because that's how we operate.

1. What We Collect
We collect only what is necessary to run the platform.
Account information
Your name and email address, provided when you sign in via OAuth. We do not store your password.
Profile information
Any optional details you add to your profile, such as a bio, location, or profile photo.
Activity data
Activities you create or join, including title, location, date, and description. Location data is used only to help others find activities near them.
Push notification subscriptions
If you enable push notifications, we store your browser's push subscription token to deliver alerts about activities near you. You can revoke this at any time in your browser settings.
Usage data
Basic analytics such as page views and session counts, collected in aggregate. We do not track individual browsing behavior across other websites.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- ·Operate and improve the BeachFit platform.
- ·Show you activities happening near your location.
- ·Send push notifications about new activities near you (only if you opt in).
- ·Send email reminders about activities you have signed up for.
- ·Respond to support requests.
- ·Detect and prevent abuse or fraudulent activity.
- ·Personalize your experience and provide activity recommendations.
We do not use your data to serve you targeted advertising. We do not build behavioral profiles for marketing purposes.
3. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. Period.
We may share limited information with trusted service providers who help us operate the platform (such as cloud hosting and email delivery). These providers are contractually required to keep your information confidential and may not use it for their own purposes.
When you participate in activities, your profile name and trust score are visible to other participants and the activity host.
We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety of our users or the public.
4. Data Retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes such as fraud prevention records.

You have the right to:

We use industry-standard security practices including HTTPS encryption, hashed session tokens, and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable precautions to protect your information and will notify you promptly if a breach affects your data.
8. Children's Privacy
BeachFit is intended for users 13 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will notify users via email or a notice on the platform. Continued use of BeachFit after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
